Well we didn't anchor for the night and refuel as had been reported to us because the powers that be requested we begin to join the convoy into the Suez Canal, which meant during the night we didn't get to see our direct entry into the Suez. We took up position in the Great Bitter Lakes for the night and then during the morning started our transit through the Canal.
It was another amazing day cruising slowly through in convoy with many cargo ships and as was the case a couple of years ago, was heavily guarded on either side. Interesting scenery captured in about 150 photos….. It was very hot and we were reminded of 'home' – lots of flies!!!! We had good company as we enjoyed our 'Canal Party' on deck during the day.
Shortly after waving to Port Said at the entrance of the Meditarranean, we dropped anchor and took on our extra fuel and then it's full steam ahead for a very exhausting 24 ports in 32 days!!!!!!!
