Another lovely calm night and will be entering the South China Sea during the afternoon, heading towards the Equator this evening, on our way to Singapore tomorrow morning.
We enjoyed a brilliant Christmas in July lunch with our Cruise Critic mates, around a hundred of them, in the dining room, even had roast turkey roll!!! We also had a 'pirate gift exchange', which was a lot of fun, especially as a couple of meanies actually robbed others of their treasured 'koalas', which they were lucky to have picked. Lots of fun and thanks to Ros for ALL of her organization for a fun lunch.
Then it was straight up on deck for the 'Crossing The Equator Ceremony' which was also lots of fun but Hot, Hot, Hot!!! The deck was burning, the sun blazing and there were lots of Pollywogs gathered for their initiation. King Neptune and his Court presided over the event and the gory ritual began. Blood and guts, well spaghetti and tomato sauce rained over the group, along with flour, chocolate sauce etc., to create an unholy mess – fortunately they weren't thrown into the pool this time!!!
Caught Trevor Knight's last show 'The Boy from Bulahdelah", and an early night for most, preparing for Singapore tomorrow.
