Smooth as silk sailing during the night and it's very quiet out there – think everyone is having a sleep in. Our brekky arrives and on with the Wake Show – there's our old mate Mark and his new offsider, Corey.
First activity for the day, Colin went for his walk and I went to Zumba (a 'fun' Latin rhythm workout with Corey)– ha! ha! far too quick for me but I did manage to work up a slight sweat!! Needed a coffee then and bought our new coffee card - their lattes have not improved one bit, so think we'll put coffee bags on the shopping list for Brissie.
We decided to go to the Dining Room for lunch and not our usual, Horizons, and were joined by a nice chatty group. Within 10 minutes, we think we have bought a new home for our daughter from friends of our newly acquainted lunch mates!!!! Wouldn't that be fate!!
It's a big day today – 2 birthday celebrations on our table. Garry's was last Sunday so "Happy Birthday Garry", hope you had a good one and Rossies birthday today and it's also Bastille Day – how appropriate as Ros just adores Paris. Joanne has organized us all to wear our French gear and she adorned the table with some delightful Eiffel Tower candle holders, along with battery T-lights. "Surprise, surprise Ros, Happy Birthday to you!!". We had a wonderful dinner and also celebrated with Champagne - compliments of Pam and Jim from a previous cruise - and two birthday cakes!!!
Sat in the Wheelhouse Bar for a while and enjoyed a night cap while listening to the melodic tunes of "Nexus"…….
Photos: Birthday celebrations for Ros & Garry; and the French connection after many glasses of bubbles and fun.
