DAY 1 – 13 JULY 2013              

DEPART SYDNEY

WOW!!  The big day has arrived and we enjoyed a lovely morning tea with the family, after the little boys soccer match.  Big hugs & kisses and with humungus baggage loaded in the 4WD, our younger daughter kindly came to White Bay Passenger Terminal to farewell us and drive our car home. 

We were very impressed with the new Terminal, so many staff around, no queues, what a breeze…..  and there she is, our beautiful "Dawn Princess", our home for the next 90 days (50 of them are sea days – whoopee!!).  Even more impressed was the fact that our bags arrived at our cabin before we did.  Hurried up to Horizons for a late lunch and then off to Drill at 3.15.  Then the best part, our reunion sailaway with lots of old and dear friends whom we've sailed with before…….  as we sail out of our spectacular harbour.

Off to dinner with the same table we had from Sydney to Dover – Jo, Garry, Ros, Arnold, Paula, Ray, Anthea and Dennis – just like old times!!!  Cheers guys!! – looking forward to lots of fun and laughter.  Tried to catch the Welcome Aboard Showtime, featuring Trevor Knight and of course the singers and dancers, but as soon as the lights came on, we were out of there – lights far too bright after "new eyes" surgery – will have to take my sunnies to the Theatre shows, for a while anyway.  An early night then for us and we can barely believe how calm it is out there!!!
